6&sol;3 12&colon;30 p&period;m&period; Police responded to the area of the Verizon store in Central Park for reports of a man chasing and threatening another man with a gun&period; Officers and Fredericksburg Sheriff’s deputies were able to locate and detain the suspect in the parking lot&comma; along with the weapon that the suspect had thrown to the ground when he saw police converging on the scene&period; The weapon was a pellet gun&period; <strong>Charles Lynn<&sol;strong>&comma; 31&comma; 500 block Jefferson Davis Hwy&comma; 6&sol;2 1&colon;15 a&period;m&period; Jefferson Davis Highway northbound between Mary Washington Boulevard and Fall Hill Avenue was closed for over an hour early this morning due to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian&period; A 23-year-old woman from Richmond was driving her Chevrolet Malibu north on Route 1 at approximately 1&colon;15 a&period;m&period; when she struck a male subject who was standing in the roadway&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The victim&comma; a 47-year-old local man of no fixed address&comma; was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital with life-threatening injuries to his head and chest&period; He also had multiple broken limbs&period; Traffic Officers Scott Worley and Dan Finn responded to the crash to conduct the investigation and accident reconstruction&period; The preliminary investigation has determined that speed was not a factor in the crash and the Chevrolet driver showed no signs of impairment&period; Both the driver and a witness who was traveling immediately behind the Chevrolet remained on the scene and waited for police arrival&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The driver and her 21-year-old male passenger were uninjured&period; A resident reported that she was speaking with a male subject who is an acquaintance of hers when the male grabbed her backpack&period; The two struggled over the backpack before the male was able to get it out of her hands&period; The male then fled the scene in a blue pickup&period; The victim identified the offender as <strong>Timothy Hinson<&sol;strong>&comma; 26&comma; of Fredericksburg&period; Officers later located Hinson at his apartment in the city and he was arrested for the following charges&colon;
