Shoe shopping in the hood of Woodbridge led to gunshot wounds and robbery; victim ought to stick to ordering online
WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Police report that a shoe-deal went bad in the hood of Woodbridge.
On May 7th at 1:41PM, officers responded to the 3500 block of Millet St in Woodbridge to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that gun shots were reportedly heard in the area. Officers arrived and located a shell casing and an unoccupied vehicle which had been struck.
No suspects or victims were located at that time. Officers checked the surrounding area and a police K-9 was used to search for the parties involved. A short time later, a victim, identified as a 19 year old man, walked into a Maryland hospital suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. During the investigation, detectives were able to link the victim back to the incident on Millet St.
The victim reported to detectives that he was in the above area to buy a pair of shoes from a known acquaintance. During the encounter, shots were fired and the victim was struck. The victim also reported that his cell phone was taken during the altercation. No further information was provided about the incident. Detectives have determined that the incident was not random. The investigation continues.
Burglar in red & white fled after breaking into Barber Shop and Lake Ridge Pizzeria
WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Prince William County Police report that on May 7th at 2:58AM, officers responded to the Barber Shop located at 2237 Tacketts Mill in Woodbridge to investigate a burglary. The caller reported to police that an unknown man was seen running from the above business. Once on scene, officers found the front glass window was broken out to the business, as well as, the Lake Ridge Pizzeria next door. Officers checked the surrounding area and a police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Money was reported missing. The suspect was only described as a black male wearing a white t-shirt and red hat.

WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Heck, the bullets missed, what’s the beef? Apparently that argument might not work too well when this case gets to court.
Police say that on May 6th at 12:58PM, officers responded to investigate a shooting which was reported to have occurred in the area of Fairhope Rd and Fontana Ct in Woodbridge sometime earlier that morning around midnight. The victim, a 23 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he encountered the accused, a known acquaintance.
During the encounter, the accused displayed a handgun and fired towards the victim before fleeing the area. The victim was not struck and reported the incident to police later in the day. The shooting was not random and appears to have stemmed from a previous altercation between the parties. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.
