Operation Naughty rev four

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics division, assisted by support team and patrol deputies, conducted an undercover operation with the intent of targeting websites that are frequently used to solicit prostitution in St. Mary’s County. While both monitoring the internet websites and complaints from the public, “Operation Naughty List” was conducted. Beyond the quality of life issues that are associated with prostitution, other serious criminal acts, such as human trafficking, sexual assault, drug distribution and robbery, are known to have a prostitution nexus.

Police say that on one occasion, detectives answered a posting for a female offering sex for money stating she was 19 years old. When the suspect arrived, she confirmed the sexual act she was going to perform was in exchange for money before she was taken into custody. Once she was placed under arrested, it was discovered she was a 16 year old from Calvert County. Detectives recovered “oxycodone” and marijuana during the search incident to arrest. Calvert County Department of Juvenile Services was contacted. The juvenile suspect was arrested, processed and released to her parent awaiting a hearing in Juvenile Court.

According to court records and Google searches, several of the defendants have employment with the Federal Government in the Navy and work with Department of Defense contractors, many of which may have security clearances that could be jeopardized upon conviction. Some have Facebook pages indicating that they have families.
