MIDDLE RIVER, MD. — Baltimore County reports that Fire crews expect their work at a stubborn two-alarm fire at Rosedale Roofing to continue into the night.

As of 5 p.m., the fire, dispatched at 1:36 p.m., still had not been brought under control. The fire continues to burn inside the warehouse. Motorists should avoid the area if possible. Fire commanders have dispatched heavy equipment to help them remove a wall and thus avoid a potentially dangerous collapse.

One volunteer firefighter from the Middleborough VFC was transported to a local hospital as a precaution because he was feeling ill..

The first-arriving crews found heavy fire and smoke coming from the warehouse. There were no rescues. Commanders quickly called for a second alarm and moved to a defensive strategy, fighting the fire from the outside. About 30 pieces of equipment and 100 personnel are fighting this fire.

Fire Investigation detectives are on the scene and will handle the investigation. A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
