<div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed">WARRANTS OBTAINED FOR BANK ROBBERIES</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office and the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office are reporting that warrants have been obtained for the arrest of Wayne Maurice Byrd, age 61 of Mt. Zion Road, Stockbr<span class="text_exposed_show">idge, Georgia. </span></span></div>

<div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span class="text_exposed_show">In Stafford County, Wayne Byrd has been charged with 1 Count of Robbery, 1 Count of Entering a Bank Armed With the Intent To Commit Larceny, 1 Count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and 1 Count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. </span></span></div>

<div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span class="text_exposed_show">These charges are based on the robbery that occurred at the BB&;T Bank, 760 Warrenton Road, in Stafford County, on Monday, November 3, 2014. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has also obtained warrants for the arrest of Wayne Byrd. </span></span></div>

<div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span class="text_exposed_show">In Spotsylvania County, Byrd has been charged with 1 Count of Robbery, 1 Count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and 1 Count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. These charges are based on the robbery that took place at Union First Bank at 4109 Plank Road, Spotsylvania on the same day.</p>
<p>On Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:18 am multiple Stafford County units responded to a bank robbery alarm at the <strong>BB&;T Bank on Warrenton Road</strong>. The male suspect entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. The suspect had a hand gun in the waist band of his pants. The suspect, now identified as Wayne Byrd, was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then walked out of the bank in the direction of Plantation Drive. </span></span></div>

<div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span class="text_exposed_show">Wayne Byrd is also charged in a robbery that took place in Spotsylvania County at the <strong>Union First Bank</strong> at 4109 Plank Road, Spotsylvania within 30 minutes of the Stafford robbery. In the Spotsylvania robbery, the Byrd entered the bank, displayed a hand gun in his waist band and demanded money from a teller. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.</p>
<p>Stafford detectives, working in cooperation with detectives from Spotsylvania County were able, through investigation, to develop Wayne Byrd as a suspect. Information obtained from individuals who witnessed the robbery in Spotsylvania County was critical to identifying Byrd as a suspect.</p>
<p><strong>Wayne Maurice Byrd</strong> is also a person of interest in two robberies that occurred in Stafford County on September 30, 2014. In the first incident at the <strong>Wells Fargo Bank at 131 Garrisonville</strong>, a male suspect handed a teller a note demanding money in large denominations. When the teller could not comply with that request, the suspect left the bank. Thirty minutes later that same suspect entered the BB&;T Bank at 760 Warrenton Road, told the teller he had a gun and demanded money. Once handed an undisclosed amount of money the suspect left the bank.</p>
<p>Wayne Byrd is also a person of interest in a bank robbery that took place in <strong>Spotsylvania County</strong> on the same day, September 30, 2014 at the PNC Bank at 5436 Jefferson Davis Highway. In that robbery the suspect entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.</p>
