One driver going too fast, the other failed to yield led to serious injuries.
PASADENA, MD. — Anne Arundel County Police report that on August 27, 2014, at approximately 6:33 p.m., the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section responded to a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Mountain Road and Woods Road in Pasadena.
At the time of the collision, Mountain Road was designated as two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane. Right lane traffic for eastbound Mountain Road was stopped and a 2014 Toyota Camry attempted to turn left from Woods Road onto westbound Mountain Road but failed to yield to the second eastbound lane into the path of a 2008 GMC Sierra. A T-bone collision occurred which forced the Toyota into the front of a westbound 2008 Bentley.
The Toyota driver was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma listed in serious, but stable condition. The male child passenger was transported to Johns Hopkins Childrens Hospital and is listed in serious condition. The GMC driver was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries and was later released.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the cause of the collision is failure to yield right-of-way by the operator of the Toyota. In addition, speed on behalf of the GMC appears to be contributory. Alcohol is not a factor in this crash. The child passenger was properly restrained in a child safety seat. The investigation continues.

The officer approached the driver and determined that her drivers’ license was suspended and subsequently placed her under arrest. A male passenger was requested to exit the vehicle as the tow truck arrived. When the male exited, officers observed in plain view a baggie of crack cocaine on the floorboard in the area where he was seated.
