District firefighter Norris Jackson charged with dealing crack

(WJLA) – It was here at Marvin Gaye Rec Center Park that MPD officers arrested Norris Jackson on Wednesday evening,

According to a police report, the 27-year-old D.C. firefighter faces charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of an unregistered gun and ammunition.

A D.C. Fire spokesman confirms that the department is aware of the charges against Jackson, and says he is also the focus of an internal investigation. The department also says that Jackson, a seven-year firefighter, works out of Engine 23 in Foggy Bottom.

A source tells ABC 7 that Jackson was allegedly dealing crack cocaine out of a Northeast D.C. barbershop. Charging documents also show that Jackson, who was in court Friday, has been ordered to stay at a halfway house as the investigation continues. Read more:
