Gunman knows to hit a cash business when committing robbery
GLEN BURNIE, MD. — On August 26, 2014, at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the Palm Beach Tanning Salon located in the unit block of Wellham Avenue in Glen Burnie for a reported armed robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager, who stated that an armed suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the business on foot.

Would-be killer fled on Light Rail train but was sidetracked by cops before he could fade away in Charm City
GLEN BURNIE, MD. Maybe Joshua Lakieth Craft wasn’t as crafty as he thought he was or perhaps he ought to just learn to drive so that the next time he decides to stab someone in a fight, the cops can’t pounce on him as easy as this time.
Police say that on August 26, 2014, at approximately 10:06 p.m., an officer from the Northern District was on routine patrol in the area of the Cromwell Light Rail station located in the 7300 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard when he observed a fight in progress.
When the officer pulled up and spoke with the 22-year-old male victim he learned that the suspect had already boarded a light rail train, which had subsequently departed from the station. Numerous officers responding to the area were able to stop the train, where they located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The victim was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor stab wounds to both his upper and lower torso. The suspect was transported to Northern District where he was booked and processed.
Suspect: Joshua Lakieth Craft, 29, of 725 Falls Way Baltimore, Md. The suspect was charged with first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment.

ODENTON, MD., Anne Arundel Police report that on August 26, 2014, detectives from the Western District Tactical Narcotics Unit in conjunction with the Baltimore HIDTA Group #56 executed a search warrant at 120 Militia Place in Odenton, Maryland. Upon searching the residence, detectives located a Cobra .380 handgun and a Taurus 38 special revolver. In addition, a Flak jacket which was also recovered inside of the residence. A check through the Maryland State Police Gun Center showed the suspect was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The suspect was already in custody for unrelated charges and was charged accordingly with the multiple weapons offenses.
