arial black&comma;avant garde&semi;">FREE FISHING PIER<&sol;span>  <&sol;a>underneath the <strong>Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge<&sol;strong> at Solomon&&num;8217&semi;s Island&comma; the fishing pier &lpar;PIER IS FREE BUT MARYLAND CHARGES A LATINO TAX AT THE TOLL BOOTH&rpar; 2014 at 10&colon;40 PM&comma; Deputy A&period; Cole and Deputy L&period; Johnson conducted another premise check of the beach property of Camp Merryelande located in Piney Point&period; They located 3 suspects fishing on the posted private property&period; The 3 suspects are identified as <strong>Silvia Marisol Ventura Lopez<&sol;strong>&comma; 21&comma; of Falls Church&comma; Virginia&comma; Exon <strong>Estelmin Paiz Galeas<&sol;strong>&comma; 28&comma; of Alexandria&comma; Virginia&comma; and <strong>Rafael Amaya Gonzalez<&sol;strong>&comma; 32&comma; of Oxon Hill&comma; Maryland&period; All three suspects were charged with Trespass&colon; Private Property by criminal citation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;4470" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-4470" style&equals;"width&colon; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s Commissioners into setting up a toll booth in order to keep out hordes of Latinos from the Washington area&period;  The park was paid for by federal and state tax dollars and the list of activities on the St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s County website doesn&&num;8217&semi;t mention fishing&comma; in spite of this being an excellent place for shore fishing&comma; as the beach is close to deep water&period; Fishing for croaker&comma; perch and even rockfish from the shore is great&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>There is no reason for large groups of Washington area residents to not fish at Myrtle Point Park&period;  Simply abide by the rules and pay the fee&period; With more than two miles of great waterfront&comma; where the fish come close to shore&comma; bring plenty of bait as the fishing is great&period;  A Maryland fishing license is required&period;  Take Maryland Route 235 to California&comma; Md&period; turn onto Rt&period; 4 to Patuxent Blvd which leads to the park entrance&period; The park is on the Patuxent River directly across from Solomons with the excellent FREE FISHING PIER under the bridge&period; <&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Under the Administration of <strong>Republican Gov&period; Robert Ehrlich<&sol;strong>&comma; a toll booth was erected at the entrance to Point Lookout State Park to raise funds to operate the park and control the hordes of Latinos who were over-running the park&period; The Park is illegally collecting fees to use the fishing pier but is likely within its rights to charge admission for fishing from the seawalls and beaches&period; <strong>Governor Martin O&&num;8217&semi;Malley<&sol;strong> has continued the illegal practices of ripping off tax-payers who purchase fishing licenses by <strong>double charging<&sol;strong> them to use the fishing pier&period; The easy way to correct it would be to simply allow a person entering the park to display their fishing license at the toll booth<strong>&period;&rpar;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The park features three fishing areas available 24 hours&comma; including the 710 foot Fishing Pier &lpar;24 hour operation April 1-December 30&rpar;&comma; the Causeway and the Point &lpar;year-round&rpar;&period; A valid Chesapeake Bay &amp&semi; Coastal Sport fishing license and appropriate stamps are required&period; Active fishing is allowed 24 hours a day&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Night Fishing<&sol;strong> &&num;8211&semi; Night fishing passes are valid from sunset to 6 a&period;m&period; All passes are valid during this time period&period; Fishermen wishing to stay past sunset will be required to pay an additional night-use service charge of &dollar;3 per vehicle for Maryland residents&semi; &dollar;5 per vehicle for non-Maryland residents&period; All members of your party must have a valid fishing license and be actively fishing to remain in the park after sunset&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;4468" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-4468" style&equals;"width&colon;
