RUTHER GLEN, VA.,  – Caroline County has a few more residents of the jail and a few less alleged drug dealers working this weekend, reports the Caroline County Virginia Sheriff.  A combined operation of several agencies, on March 20, 2015, the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office conducted a massive drug operation, executing a search warrant in the Ruther Glen area of Caroline County and arresting 13 people on charges related to illegal drug distribution. This operation, named “Operation Trident,” was conducted by the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations Division. Personnel from the Virginia State Police, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control assisted with the operation today.

Caroline County Sheriff, Tony Lippa, said “This operation was the result of more than a year-long undercover investigation conducted by Caroline narcotics investigators and involved the alleged illegal distribution of heroin, prescription pills, cocaine and marijuana in Caroline County. The suspects charged in this investigation reside in Caroline County, Richmond City, Henrico County, the Town of Ashland, King George County, Spotsylvania County and the City of Fredericksburg.”

Sheriff Lippa said 13 suspects have been arrested today and additional arrests are expected. No further information will be released at this time.

  • 32 year old Odell Mines of Ashland was arrested and charged with 3 counts of distributing cocaine,
  • 24 year old Anton Edwards of Bowling Green was arrested and charged with 1 count of distribution of cocaine,
  • 34 year old Samuel burton of Richmond was arrested and charged with 3 counts of distributing cocaine and 3 counts of distributing heroin,
  • 42 year old Robert Lamont Simms was arrested and charged with 2 counts of distributing cocaine and 1 count of distributing less than 5 pounds of marijuana,
  • 39 Year old Delvin Mines of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with 1 count of distribution of cocaine and 1 count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine,
  • 23 year old Terry Smithers of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with 2 counts of distributing cocaine,
  • 51 year old Marvin Green of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with 1 count of distributing cocaine,
  • 62 year old Floyd “Jackie” Hayes of Milford was arrested and charged with 4 counts of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills,
  • 23 year old Ernest White Jr. of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with 1 count of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills,
  • 40 year old Dwight Drinkard of Woodford was arrested and charged with 2 counts of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills,
  • 36 year old Alaster Donnolly Jr. of Woodford was arrested and charged with 1 count of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills,
  • 47 year old Steven Midgett of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with 1 count of possessing heroin, and
  • 31 year old Reginald Ferguson of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with possessing heroin.
