MURDER USA: Two Leonardtown High students planning mass shooting arrested; David Fairfax charged with keeping firearms unsecured – warrant issued for his arrest

As a result of the search warrants, semi-automatic rifles, handguns and other weapons were seized, along with ammunition.  The weapons were not secured from juvenile access as required by law.

Alioto reports that a student at Leonardtown High School was caught today with digital scales and $800.00 worth of high-quality marijuana inside the school as he went about his busy day making sure that as many of his fellow classmates who had the money to do so could get plenty of good weed.

Martirano hired to run West Virginia Schools

The Board of Education of St. Mary’s County announces that Dr. Michael J. Martirano, Superintendent of Schools, has accepted an offer to serve as the State Superintendent of Schools for the State of West Virginia, and will be departing from his position as Superintendent of the St. Mary’s County Public Schools effective this fall. Dr. Martirano has served as Superintendent of Schools for St. Mary’s County since July 2005, which makes him the longest serving superintendent in St. Mary’s County since 1978, and the longest current serving superintendent in the State of Maryland. During his tenure, Dr. Martirano has led the following academic achievements:
