Murder USA: Murder on Lavender Lane; Alan Rangel caught in slaying

MECHANICSVILLE, MD. — Wanted for the murder of Cody Lacey on Lavender Lane in Mechanicsville, Md., early on Saturday morning, Alan Michael Rangel has been wanted on an open warrant since July 3, 2015 for failing to appear in Charles County, Md., District Court to face trial on concealing a deadly weapon and various traffic charges.

A caregiver has been charged with murder following the autopsy of the woman for whom she was caring for and living with in a home located at 202 Morris Street in Fruitland, Md. The results of the autopsy was that the death was a homicide due to injuries. Ironically, the woman charged with the murder attempted to charge the woman’s son with harassment and being a peeping tom. Those charges were dropped.

On August 14 at approximately 10:05 a.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call for an armed robbery in progress at Sweeney Building Services located at 18931 Premier Court in Gaithersburg. Two suspects entered the business armed with a handgun and a taser. They obtained an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims were able to give descriptions of both suspects and the vehicle used to leave the scene. Using this information, detectives began their investigation.

(Sept. 17, 2014) — Charles County Sheriff’s investigators assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Richard Cecil Anno, 24, of Indian Head in connection with the robbery of the PNC bank that occurred on August 25 on North Prospect Avenue in Indian Head. Through investigation, detectives report that they developed information that linked Anno to the case.

St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that detectives have rounded up a gang who preyed on two old women in a home in Town Creek, robbed them and caused injuries. The crime was planned in retaliation for Jessica L. Johnson, 24, of Mechanicsville, being fired, say police. The robbers were armed during the robbery and unfortunately, the residents of the home were not and didn’t get a chance to blast them into eternity.

Officers relayed a description of Daniels to Ocean City Communications as well as security personnel in the area. Shortly after, a security guard saw Daniels and was able to stop him and flag down an officer passing by who arrested Daniels.

Daniels was charged by Ocean City police with first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment. He was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and transferred to the Worcester County Jail on $50,000 bond
