Anne Arundel Police Beat: Cops catch Fish for poaching bank; used bank action photo as bait

GLEN BURNIE, MD. — Anne Arundel County Police report that after issuing a photo taken of a bank robber who implied he had a weapon when holding up a bank that they have now arrested and charged Eric Frederick Fish, 49, of Baltimore for the crime.

Detectives from the Northern District Detective Unit immediately began receiving tips from citizens in reference to this robbery.

As the detectives followed up on tips, they were eventually able to develop a suspect. As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s house located at 2243 Cedley Street Baltimore, MD.

Bomb Thweatt earned cash from 3 banks

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police –Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged Morris Kenneth Thweatt, age 46, of the 7600 block of Maple Avenue in Takoma Park, for the robberies of three banks in Silver Spring.

Investigation by Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes detectives revealed that during these bank robberies, the male suspect, later identified as Thweatt, would enter the bank and pass a note to the teller stating that he had a bomb. Thweatt would then display a device wrapped in foil, claiming it was a bomb.

RISING SUN, MD. July 25, 2014 — A Delaware man was charged by the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division after being accused of dressing up as a woman and holding up a bank branch here Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

Kent Hunt Buckson, 34, of the 600 block of Lochaven Court in the Bear community near Newark, was charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft: $10,000 under $100,000, first-degree assault and second-degree assault late Thursday. He is accused of robbing the National Penn Bank branch robbery at 5 Maple Heights Lane in Rising Sun the day before. Buckson was taken into custody without incident by detectives from the Delaware State Police – Troop 2 shortly after 9 a.m. at the Rodeway Inn on South College Avenue in Newark, DE.

More specifically, on four occasions from March 13 to May 22, 2013, McBride and others, including juveniles, drove to the following bank branches where he stole a total of $9,093: TD Bank, PNC Bank, and Citibank in Washington, D.C.; and SunTrust Bank in Forestville, Maryland. Also, on May 13, 2013, McBride and his conspirators drove to Capitol One Bank in Suitland, Maryland, to rob the bank but left without having obtained any money.
