Morrison was a BGF member and in pretrial custody at BCDC from 2012 to 2013. He was involved with and often directed the smuggling of cell phones, tobacco, marijuana, and drugs into BCDC through other correctional officers who received payments, gifts, or a share of the profits. Morrison had sexual relations with at least one of the correctional officers involved with contraband trafficking. He also helped conceal from prison officials contraband smuggled into the jail.
Police were dispatched to a home in the unit block of Rocky Brook Court, 21244, at 11:55 p.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired. They found Michael Jefferson Jr., of the unit block of Rocky Brook Court, dead in his home of apparent multiple gunshot wounds

Upon their arrival to the scene, officers from the Berlin Police Department and emergency medical service personnel pronounced Ada dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. Police found Lester on the floor with what also appeared to be gunshot wounds. He immediately received medical treatment and was transported by ambulance to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
When they arrived, troopers contacted the second victim who advised he had been assaulted with a blunt object. Troopers and officers continued to check the residence and found Donald Mariner injured. Emergency medical personnel were immediately requested. Once on the scene, medical personnel attempted to treat both victims. Mariner was pronounced dead by medical personnel, while the second victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for further medical treatment.
Morgan previously admitted that in August 2013, he attempted to hire members of the KKK to murder his neighbor. According to Morgan’s plea agreement, on August 22, 2013, Morgan spoke on the phone with an undercover FBI agent who identified himself as a KKK member. The men arranged to meet three days later at an Oxford, Alabama motel to discuss payment for the murder. In that phone conversation, Morgan used a racial slur to describe the man he wanted killed and bragged that he had just fired several shots toward the man to intimidate him. Morgan also described, in detail, how he wanted the man to be “hung from a tree like a deer and gutted,” to have body parts cut off, and to “die a slow, painful death.”
The suspect drove up to the woman’s car and began to threaten her. Witnesses reported hearing the man arguing with the woman and then saw him shoot her multiple times. The gunman then turned the weapon on himself.
Morris admitted to working with several co-conspirators to obtain and redistribute heroin in Richmond, Virginia. Morris also possessed two firearms in furtherance of the conspiracy, both of which were seized by law enforcement during the investigation.
