Teen charged with slaying of his father with crossbow – Harrington, Del. – Detectives with the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit have arrested a 17-year-old teen in connection with the death of his father.

The investigation began at approximately 9:45 a.m., Thursday December 11, 2014 when officers from Harrington Police Department, assisting troopers, responded to 4822 Park Brown Road for a report of a check on the well-being.

The suspect then shot at the victim; however the gun misfired and the victim fled on foot. As the victim ran the suspect continued to shoot at him; one bullet struck a vehicle while a woman and a small child were sitting inside. The victim was able to hide in the woods and the suspect fled the area on foot.

On December 11, 2014, detectives identified a suspect in the case. Detectives located and arrested Torian Taylor Luckett, age 19, of Great Mill. Luckett was charged with Armed Robbery, Burglary 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree and Theft $1,000 to $10,000. Luckett was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and incarcerated under No Bond.

Police say that on December 4, 2014, at about 1:30 am, patrol officers with the District Heights Police Department and the Prince George’s County Police Department were called to the 6300 block of Gateway Boulevard for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Moore suffering from gunshot wounds inside his home. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim is 34-year-old Louis William Jordan of Brightseat Road in Landover. The suspect is 26-year-old Brandon Timothy Stevens of the 10400 block of Beacon Ridge Drive in Lake Arbor

One of the victims was physically beaten by Anthony on November 30 prior to being brought to Maryland from Delaware. During the beating, Anthony threatened to kill her if she tried to leave. Fearing for their lives, both remained.

Anthony and Tatem transported the women to Maryland and checked them in to a Somerset County hotel. While traveling, one of the women was able to send a message to a family member alerting them to her situation. The family member immediately alerted police.

On August 14 at approximately 10:05 a.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call for an armed robbery in progress at Sweeney Building Services located at 18931 Premier Court in Gaithersburg. Two suspects entered the business armed with a handgun and a taser. They obtained an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims were able to give descriptions of both suspects and the vehicle used to leave the scene. Using this information, detectives began their investigation.

Further investigation indicates several suspects, described as African American males, may have been involved. A police K-9 search of the area tracked away from the residence to the east between Morris and Central avenues. The track was lost near a convenience store at the intersection of Central and South Main streets. During the track, police found a mask fitting the description of one worn by a suspect. A gun has not been recovered.

The victim’s body was transported to the medical examiner’s office in Wilmington, Delaware. An autopsy is expected to be conducted tomorrow.

Murder USA: Seydou Ba killer sought in Anne Arundel

Homicide detectives were able to identify the deceased as Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Detectives have notified family members and are in the process of conducting interviews with several witnesses. The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area this afternoon and conducted an extensive search of the area looking for items of possible evidentiary value.
