The driver of the Dodge was identified as Tamara Moskowitz, 45, Baltimore, MD was transported to Medstar in Washington, D.C. with life threating injuries. A 13-year-old male child was a passenger in the Dodge and was flown to Children’s Hospital by Maryland State Police Aviation where he succumbed to his injuries.

Advanced life support was provided during transport to the hospital. The ability to conduct the hoist rescue and transition directly into the medical evacuation role saved hours of out of hospital time for the critically injured patient.
