Parents left baby to die, say police

NOKESVILLE, VA (Oct. 12, 2014) – Prince William County Police report that the parents of a baby who was left and abandoned for nearly a day and found dead have now been confined to a jail cell.

On October 5th at 1:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10200 block of Aqua View Ct in Nokesville (20181) to investigate an unresponsive infant. Officers and rescue personnel arrived at the home and located the infant, identified as a 9 month old girl, unresponsive and not breathing.

At the NJP proceedings, Cmdr. Curtis Calloway, former commanding officer; Cmdr. Ed Handley, former executive officer and prospective commanding officer, and Command Master Chief Travis Biswell were found in violation of various articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Specifically:

DOVER, DEL. (Oct. 11, 2014) — Dover Police report that on Wednesday October 2, 2014 at 1340 hours members of the Dover Police Drug, Vice, and Organized Crime/ and Safe Streets Unit Observed Defendant Eljere Ingram and Defendant Jesse Fitzgerald operating a gold GMC Yukon SUV in the parking lot of Dover Mart. On the previous day Officers observed Defendant Fitzgerald conduct a drug transaction from the same GMC Yukon while in the parking lot of Country Village Apartments.

Southern Md. Police Beat: Norman Goedecke Indicted for Possession of Firearms by Felon

On October 2, 2014 investigators from Criminal Enforcement Division and the St. Mary’s County States Attorney’s Office presented this investigation to the St. Mary’s County Grand Jury. A five Count Indictment was handed down from the Grand Jury, charging Goedecke with being in possession of a regulated firearm.

On October 6, 2014, members from the Maryland State Police Warrant Apprehension Team (MSAT) located and arrested Norman Goedecke at his residence in Mechanicville, St. Mary’s County, MD without incident. Goedecke was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

Prince Georges Police honors Top Cops of the Month

On August 9, 2014, Police Officer Andrew Williams responded to Chesterfield Drive in Temple Hills for the report of a man chasing a woman with a knife. The woman had called police and advised that her bother had a kitchen knife and was threatening to kill her and burn down the house. Officer Williams quickly arrived on the scene and saw a man yelling profanities and displaying erratic behavior. He began calmly speaking with the man to defuse the situation. Officer Williams was able to single-handedly take the man into custody without incident.

Heroin Bus ExpressBaltimore, Maryland (Oct. 10, 2014)– Rahdel Sharbaan, age 31, of Bronx, New York, pleaded guilty on September 24, 2014, to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin. Co-defendant Gary Barham, age 52, of Easton, Maryland, pleaded guilty on September 15, 2014, to the same charge.
