MURDER USA:  Crazies are shooting at other vehicles on Virginia Interstates

HAMPTON, VA. – Evidently, the crazies in the densely populated areas of Virginia Beach and Norfolk have decided to take their random shootings on a road show and blasted away at other vehicles on two Virginia Interstate highways, injuring two people.

The Virginia State Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying possible suspects or suspect vehicles that were involved in two separate and unrelated interstate shootings to occur within the Hampton Roads region within eight hours of one another.

The first one occurred Jan. 14, 2018, at approximately 7:50 PM. The Virginia State Police responded to a complaint of a possible interstate shooting on the entrance ramp from Chestnut Avenue to Interstate 664 northbound in the city of Newport News. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2001 Ford minivan, occupied by three individuals, left a supermarket in the 3300 block of Roanoke Avenue in Newport News and was merging onto I-664 from Chestnut Avenue when the occupants heard multiple gunshots. The occupants could not determine the direction from which the gunshots came. One adult male, 40 years old, the occupant was shot and was transported to Sentara Careplex Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Virginia State Police, along with the assistance of Newport News Police Department, secured the scene and conducted a search of the area. No suspects or possible suspect vehicles were able to be identified by those involved in the incident.

Upon clearing the scene of the shooting incident in Newport News, Virginia State Police agents were then called by Virginia Beach Police Department to respond to Virginia Beach General Hospital to investigate a possible shooting believed to have occurred on the interstate in the city of Virginia Beach.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 2:27 AM, on Jan. 15, 2018, Virginia Beach Police dispatch received a phone call in reference to a shooting in the westbound lanes of Interstate 264, approximately half a mile east of Newtown Road in the city of Virginia Beach. A 2006 Chevrolet Malibu was westbound on I-264 and had just passed Witchduck Road when an unknown vehicle pulled up alongside and someone from inside that vehicle began shooting at the occupants. A backseat adult female passenger, 21 years of age, was shot and transported to Virginia Beach General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No other occupants in the Malibu were injured. The victims in this incident were unable to provide a description of the suspect(s) or suspect vehicle.

According to the victims of both incidents, there was no altercation prior to the shootings or any indication of road rage.

State Police Agents are seeking the public’s assistance from anyone traveling in the vicinity of I-664 east or westbound near Chestnut Avenue at approximately 7:50 PM Saturday or I-264 west or eastbound at approximately 2:27 AM Sunday who may have witnessed either incident.
