Charles Sheriff Police Beat / Cops: Drug Dealing in Indian Head Ends in Slammer for Dwayne Pate Jr.
INDIAN HEAD, MD. — Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that a PG County drug dealer found doing business in Indian Head was just another side of the coin and when stopped by officers, he found he couldn’t buffalo his way out of jail.
Officers also located several bags of suspected cocaine.
On January 5 at 9:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Livingston Road in Indian Head. During the stop, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. Further investigation showed the occupants had 110 grams of marijuana, scales, and other materials used in drug distribution.
Officers also located several bags of suspected cocaine. Dwayne Thomas Pate, 19, of 1252 Capital View Drive, Hyattsville, Md., was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute. Charges are pending against three other occupants of the car. PFC A. Bringley is investigating.
