<h2>Maryland State Police Beat / Troopers finding Drugs and Drunk Drivers During Christmas Drinking, Drugging, Driving and Dying Season</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">EASTON, MD. &#8212; The Maryland State Police Easton Barrack conducted the following investigations during the first week of December as reported on Dec. 13, 2017:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 1, 2017, Tpr. Graef conducted a traffic stop on a green Ford passenger vehicle which was projecting a glaring light on Barclay Road at Crown Stone Road, Caroline County. The driver was identified as Marganita Lopez Perez, 70, of 18240 Lepore Road, Trailer 20. Perez was wanted by Easton Barrack for failing to appear in court on a previous traffic charge. She was taken to the Caroline Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and was temporarily committed to the Caroline County Detention Center.</span></p>
<h2>HEROIN HIGHWAY TO HELL</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 2, 2017, Tpr. Graef conducted a traffic stop on a silver Hyundai passenger vehicle on East Sunset Avenue at Mill Street, Greensboro, Md. The driver was identified as William Garfield Bilbrough, 53, of 509 Market Street, Apt. 7, Denton, Md. During the investigation, Bilbrough was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance NOT marijuana. He was placed in custody and taken before the Caroline County Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He was released on his own recognizance and is seeking a free, taxpayer-provided attorney.</span></p>

The driver was identified as a 17-year-old juvenile of Seaford, De. The juvenile was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and was released to a guardian.</span></li>

The driver was identified as Gregory Lovern Williams Jr., 35, of Federalsburg, Md. Williams was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams. He was released on his signature pending a court date.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 1, 2017, Tfc. Glover conducted a traffic stop on a gray Toyota passenger vehicle on Ocean Gateway at Plugge Road, Talbot County, Md. The driver was identified as Emmith Lucero Cordero, 22, of Springdale, Md. He was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and released on his signature pending a court date.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 2, 2017, Tfc. Cannon conducted a traffic stop on tan Chrysler passenger vehicle at Peach Blossom Avenue at Robbins Street, Dorchester County, MD. The driver was identified as Donald Louis Heath, 31, of Salisbury, Md. Heath was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and released on his signature pending a court date.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 3, 2017, Tfc. Mingos conducted a traffic stop on a black Hyundai passenger vehicle on Ocean Gateway at Almshouse Rd Trappe, Md. The driver was identified as Latoya Sade Coverdale, 28, of Hurlock, Md. During the investigation, Coverdale was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and released on her signature pending a court date.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 3, 2017, Tfc. Norton was conducting a speed enforcement initiative at Oldtown Road and Maple Avenue Goldsboro, Md. During the initiative, a traffic stop was conducted on a green Mercury SUV. The driver was identified as Richard Wallace Hill, 56, of Millington, Md. During the course of the investigation, Hill was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and released on his signature pending a court date.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On 12/5/17 Tpr. Grafton responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a white Kia Soul on Ocean Gateway at Backtown Road Trappe, Md. The driver was identified as Gabriela Perez, 20 years of age of Marydel, MD. The back-seat passenger was identified as Hanna Marie Lewis, 19 years of age of Ridgely, MD. During the investigation, Lewis and Perez were cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams. There were both released on their signatures pending a court date.</span></li>

<h2>DWI HIT PARADE / Michael Burgess charged with DUI after crash</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 1, 2017, Tpr. Sheldon responded to Easton Memorial Hospital for a report about two people that had walked into the ER with injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision at Oakland Road and Sparks Road Caroline County, Md. During the investigation, it was learned that Michael Scott Burgess, 24, of Denton, Md., was identified as the driver of a silver passenger vehicle. Burgess was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and is awaiting a court date.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 2, 2017, Tpr. Meekins conducted a traffic stop on a gray Chevrolet passenger vehicle on MD RT 392 at MD RT 14, East New Market, MD. The driver was identified as Phillip William Elliott, 34 years of age of Hurlock, MD. During the investigation, Elliott was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was later released to his aunt.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 3, 2017, Tpr. Layton responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a tan Dodge Neon on the Vienna Bridge in Dorchester County MD. The driver was identified as Terrance John Pox, 56 years of age. Pox was cited for Driving Under the Influence of a controlled dangerous substance. He was later released to a sober person.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 2, 2017, Maryland State Police Tpr. Graef responded to a motor vehicle collision at Wesley Road and MD RT 392 Hurlock, MD. The driver was identified as Fritz Jeaniton, 42, of 304 High Street, Seaford, Del. Fritz was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and possession of a controlled dangerous substance NOT marijuana. Jeaniton was charged by Trooper Graef as he operated a 2015 Toyota at 3:13 pm when he wrecked. He was also charged with failing to remain at the scene of a crash and was taken before the Dorchester County Court Commissioner and released on his own recognizance.</span></p>

<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Christmas Day in 2008, Jeaniton was arrested for DUI by Maryland State Police Trooper Elin in Preston, Md. In Caroline County Circuit Court on Sept. 14, 2009, Jeaniton got a plea deal from the Caroline County States Attorney Jonathan G. Newell. THE DEAL: Jeaniton entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with the jail time to be served at home as approved by Judge Jensen and a zero fine.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Nov. 27, 2001, Jeaniton was charged with DWI in Montgomery County and in a plea deal with the Montgomery County States Attorney on March 26, 2002, was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Durke Thompson to 90 days in jail and probation for one year.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 3, 2017, Tfc. Glover responded to a disabled silver BMW on Ocean Gateway at Centreville Road Easton Md. The driver was identified as Jean Delores Moody, 26, of the District of Columbia. It was discovered that Moody was a fugitive from Prince Georges County Md. Moody was taken before the Talbot County Court Commissioner for her initial appearance and released on a $2500 unsecured bond.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On 12/5/17 Tfc. Myers conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford van at MD RT 331 at Indiantown Road Vienna, MD. The driver was identified as Carlos Antonia Johnson, 47 years of age of Salisbury, MD. Johnson was found to be a fugitive through Maryland State Police Salisbury. Johnson was taken into custody and taken before the Dorchester County Court Commissioner. He was then released on his own recognizance pending a court date.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 1, 2017, Tpr. Meekins responded to 4724 Payne Road Hurlock, Md., for a warrant service. Andrea Lynne Jenkins, 52, of Hurlock, Md., was taken into custody. She was taken to the Dorchester County Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On Dec. 1, 2017, Tfc. Glover responded to 1200 South Washington Street Easton, MD Talbot County for a warrant service. Jordon Larue Stanley, 25, of Easton, Md., was taken into custody. He was taken to the Talbot County Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On 12/6/17 Tpr. Laham responded to the Easton Barrack about a warrant service. Dale Kevin Proctor, 49 years of age of Forestville, MD was taken into custody and transported to the Talbot County Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He was held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center</span>.</p>
