<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Maryland Natural Resources Police report that continued enforcement at Fishing Creek Bridge in Dorchester County in early May of 2017 resulted in 13 men being charged and 435 fish were seized.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The following men were charged with keeping undersized striped bass, keeping fish over the daily creel limit, fishing in a closed area, and possession of striped bass between midnight and 5 a.m.:</span></p>

Alvarenga, 50, of Hyattsville; Marvin Omar Larios Guerra, 43, of Rockville; Mauro Gerardo Canjura Morales, 53, of Brentwood; Erik M. Guerra, 39, of Silver Spring; Luis A. Gonzalez, 28, of Fort Washington; and Yemi J. Flores Flores, 35, of Annapolis. Also, Jose Contreras, 50, Erick Isai Melendez Romero, 37, Victor Omar Membreno Guerara, 25, and Ramon A. Gonzales, 55, all of Silver Spring.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">All the defendants are scheduled to appear in Dorchester County District Court Aug. 16. The maximum penalty for each count is $1,500.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In April, the Natural Resources Police nabbed more Rockfish poachers at Fishing Creek Bridge:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Over two nights of surveillance, officers charged nine men with possessing 87 striped bass from the waters of Dorchester County.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Charged with possessing striped bass in a closed season were: Juan Manuel Bravo, 34, of Hyattsville; Emerson DeJesus-Vargas Campos, 26, of Riverdale; Jairo Dario Ramirez, 22, of Upper Marlboro; and Elmer Antonio Castillo Araniva, 23, of Upper Marlboro.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Charged with possessing striped bass in a closed season were: Kevin Wilfredo Portillo-Lopez, 20, Riverdale; Paris Benjamin Lizano Molina, 20, of New Carrollton; Steven Antonio Cabrera, 19, of Riverdale; Joel Antonio Portillo Ramirez, 21, of Cheverly; and Ariel Maur Sagastizado Sanchez, 21, of Hyattsville.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">All nine men are scheduled to appear in Dorchester County District Court June 28. If found guilty, each man could be fined as much as $1,500.</span></p>
