<h2>Two too boozed, one bopped and one had to go to the hoosegow to bring quiet to the city</h2>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">SALISBURY, MD. &#8212; Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that on Nov. 27, 2015 at 3:21 AM a deputy responded to a reported domestic related altercation at a residence on the 31000 block of Old Ocean City Road. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Upon arrival, the deputy met with two subjects who were visibly intoxicated. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">During the investigation into the reported incident, the deputy learned that </span>Teaira<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> White, 34, of Salisbury, Md., reportedly assaulted her brother when she grabbed him around the neck. The deputy observed signs of injury on the victim that corroborated that account.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The deputy placed White under arrest for </span>second-degree<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> assault and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released White on $20,000 unsecured bond.</span></p>

<h3>Furtive couple turned out to be crack connoisseurs</h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">SALISBURY, MD. &#8212; Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that on Nov. 27, 2015 at 5:07 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle on Salisbury Blvd. at Northwood Drive in Salisbury. Police say the vehicle was operated by Eugene Purnell, 54, of Berlin, Md., and was stopped for a seat belt violation. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The alleged observed furtive movement by Purnell and his passenger, Debra Ann Tawes, 37, of Salisbury, coupled with obvious anxiety about being stopped which led to the summoning of a WCSO Drug K9 team. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The K9 conducted a scan of Purnell’s vehicle that yielded a positive alert for the presence of the odor of</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">During a subsequent search the deputy located and seized what was identified as crack cocaine from the center console.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The deputy placed both Purnell and Tawes under arrest and transported them to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released both on unsecured bond. </span></p>
