ANNANDALE, VA. Fairfax County Police were called to the area of Little River Turnpike and Pinecrest Heights Drive for a report of a shooting around 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Officers arrived and found the victim partially in the roadway and quickly secured the scene. A preliminary investigation determined that the victim had suffered an Annandale area, and the suspect had fled.

The victim, a 26-year-old man from the Annandale area, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later upgraded to non-life threatening status.  The suspect fled in a vehicle described as a white sedan, possibly a Honda. The vehicle was last seen headed westbound on Little River Turnpike. The suspect was described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, between 120 to 135 pounds, and had blonde hair.

A search of the area was conducted, but neither the vehicle nor the suspect was located. The relationship between the victim and the suspect is currently unknown. At this point, detectives do not believe this was a random event.
