UPPER MARLBORO, MD. — Maybe a White House Special Assistant to President Barack Obama is used to packing big guns when visiting members of the House of Representatives in her job as special liaison to the House. Maybe she has a new sex-game involving the use of firearms in a version of Russian roulette. Or, perhaps she is just an alleged hot-headed dirtbag who is simply another story in the Naked City of PG County where shootings and murders are part of the political and social landscape. Charging documents say that after sex with the cop she wanted his cellphone passwords to track down the lying cheat’s other girlfriend.

NBC 4 reports that according to charging documents, Barvetta Singletary sent her boyfriend a text on Friday, asking him to come to her Upper Marlboro home for sex. After they had sex, Singletary confronted her boyfriend about other woman he was dating.

Barvetta Singletary, staffer and policy director for Congressman James Clyburn, SC-6th district, shares information about the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, with more than 150 people at Cumberland United Methodist Church during a town hall type meeting held to try and clear up confusion over the law on Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Investigators say Singletary asked her boyfriend to step outside, and they both went to his car. Once inside the car, police say Singletary asked to see her boyfriend’s cellphones. When he refused, Singletary reached into his bag and retrieved two cell phones and the victim’s .40 caliber Glock 23 service weapon, charging documents state.

Singletary ran back into her home and the victim followed, pleading with her to return his weapon.

Police say Singletary demanded that the victim give her the passwords to the phones, but he refused.

Singletary then pulled the gun out of its holster, pointed it at the victim and said, “You taught me how to use this. Don’t think I won’t use it,” the arrest warrant said.

Fearing for his life, the victim ran away from the home. The victim told police he saw Singletary wipe the gun down with a towel. He then called 911.

Singletary was arrested at the scene without incident.

NBC 4 in Washington reports that a White House spokesperson says Singletary has been placed on unpaid leave, and her access to the White House complex has been revoked until they have more information.

Police report that the Prince George’s County Police Department charged a suspect in connection with a non-contact shooting in Upper Marlboro. The suspect is 37-year-old Barvetta Singletary of 13800 Burnished Wood Court in Upper Marlboro. The victim is a US Capitol Police Officer who was off-duty at the time. This is a domestic-related incident. No one was hurt.

Prince Georges Police say that on August 7, 2015, at about 5:30 am, patrol officers responded to the residence of Singletary on Burnished Wood Court for the report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and the victim got into an argument. During the argument, the suspect grabbed the officer’s duty weapon and fired one round striking the floor. The gun had been in a bag prior to the incident.

Singletary is charged with first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment and will face a preliminary hearing on Sept. 2, 2015 in Upper Marlboro.

Quick Draw Barvetta was arrested by Officer Ivy and jailed briefly before some bagman showed up to post her bail – perhaps in small bills and sprung her from the hoosegow on Aug. 8th.
