<h2>Burglars were too busy stealing stuff to notice the cameras</h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">MARDELA SPRINGS, MD. &#8212; Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis reports the arrest of two men who managed to smile for the camera when they broke into a home. The advent of inexpensive cameras for use at catching nannies smacking kids or deer walking on trails is also spreading to homes everywhere that burglars like to rob.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On July 17, 2015 Wicomico Sheriff’s Deputy C. Parr arrested Warren Christopher Parker of 9947 Oak Terrace Road in Mardela Springs, Md., and Jamie Ruark of 657 East Road, Salisbury, Md., in connection with an attempted residential burglary in the 10000 block of Riverton Road in Mardela Springs. The deputy responded on June 27, 2015 for an alarm at the residence and upon arrival observed pry marks on the front door and an open window.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">It was believed at the time that the activation of the alarm scared the would-be burglars away. During the subsequent investigation, surveillance images from the property were obtained that allowed the deputy to identify both Warren Christopher Parker and Jamie Lawrence Ruark after the images were shared on the Wicomico Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Upon arrest, both Parker and Ruark were transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following their initial appearances, both were detained on bond in the Detention Center. Parker and Ruark will face a court hearing on Sept. 16, 2015 in Salisbury.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Charges: Attempted Burglary 4th Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Parker was ordered on July 21, 2015 to stay away from a spouse on a Domestic Violence order issued in Wicomico County District Court, which shouldn’t be too much of a problem as he is currently in jail.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Parker was charged with burglary on Nov. 29, 2014 by Wicomico Deputy A. Foy; and on March 19, 2015 the Wicomico County States Attorney Matthew Maciarello dropped the charges.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Parker was arrested in Somerset County on five counts of burglary and theft on April 17, 2014. In District Court in Princess Anne on June 9, 2014, Somerset County States Attorney Daniel Powell dropped two charges and put three others on the Stet Docket with jail time and no fine. One of the conditions of the Stet Docket is that the miscreant must obey all laws. The case file in Somerset County notes that the case is now being opened and set for trial.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Parker, who should likely have his photo in all Post Offices in Wicomico County, was charged with burglary on June 20, 2006. After delays in trials in Wicomico Circuit Court due to Parker failing to appear, he was able to arrange a plea deal with Wicomico States Attorney Davis Ruark. In exchange for a guilty plea, Parker was given 11 months in the hoosegow and ordered to pay restitution to his victims. Parker violated the terms of his probation and went back to jail on March 31, 2008.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ruark was arrested on a theft charge on July 1, 2015 and has a Public Defender from Salisbury as his free and taxpayer provided attorney. On June 28<sup>th</sup> he was charged with another seven counts of rogue and vagabond and theft, associated with an incident which took place on June 28<sup>th</sup> and faces trial on Aug. 21, 2015.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ruark may be a training aid for newbie Public Defenders and rookie cops as he was busted for burglary and rogue and vagabond on July 27, 2014 by Maryland State Trooper S. Hallman. In a plea deal with Wicomico County States Attorney Matthew Maciarello on Oct. 27, 2014, Ruark was given 5 months and 29 days in jail with credit for time served of 92 days.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ruark was arrested on May 2, 2010 by Maryland State Trooper A. Edwards for 21 counts of theft, credit card fraud scheme. In a plea deal with Wicomico County States Attorney Maciarello on Jan 28, 2011 he was given 6 months in jail on one count the remaining counts put on the Stet Docket.</span></p>
