SALISBURY, MD. — According to Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis, on July 6, 2015 at 9:00 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle operated by Jamie Michael Walker, 26, of Salisbury, Md., after clocking Walker at 74 mph in a 40 mph zone on Naylor Mill Road. Upon making contact with Walker, the deputy detected a strong odor of alcohol. The deputy also observed that Walker used his vehicle to help maintain his balance upon exit. The odor along with the physical indicators observed prompted the deputy to begin sobriety testing. Following the tests, the deputy placed Walker under arrest for DUI.

Walker had a two year old child strapped into a car seat inside the vehicle. During processing, Walker refused to submit to a breath test.

The deputy transported Walker to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Walker in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.

Charges: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol While Transporting a Minor, Speeding.

Narrative: In June 2015 deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office arrested the above individuals (Photos Unavailable), for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
