SALISBURY, MD. — Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that his deputies aren’t fooling around when defendants don’t show up in court. A posse of deputies is sent out to find those who have been charged with criminal offenses and round them up. David: Where Art Thou?
DELMAR, MD. — Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis knows just where to look for David Arvey. In his jail. Police say that on 25 March 2015 a deputy arrested David Michael Arvey, 55 of Delmar, on a District Court Bench Warrant that was issued after he failed to appear for a Burglary and Theft case. Arvey was detained on a bond of $50,000.00.
Ricky Jay Mears will be assured of date with Judge on DUI charges
DELMAR, MD. — Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that on March 26, 2015 a deputy arrested Ricky Jay Mears, 43 of Delmar, on a District Court Bench Warrant that was issued after Mears failed to appear for a case where he had been charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Driving Revoked, DUI and Attempt to Flee and Elude. Mears was detained without bond.

SALISBURY, MD. — Police report that on March 27, 2015 a deputy arrested Michael Lee Fernekees, 28 of Baltimore, on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant that was issued after Fernekees failed to appear for a violation of probation hearing in a Rogue and Vagabond case. Fernekees was detained without bond.
SALISBURY, MD. — Police report that on March 29, 2015 a deputy arrested Zachary Gill, 20, of Salisbury, on a District Court Bench Warrant. The warrant was issued after Gill failed to appear for a Driving While Suspended case. Gill was detained on a bond of $5,000.00.
SALISBURY, MD. According to the Wicomico Sheriff’s Department, on March 25, 2015 a deputy arrested John Bononno, 51, of Salisbury, following an allegation of an assault made by a female victim. Bononno stands accused of pushing the victim into a wall and then striking her.
Following his arrest, Bononno was processed at the Central Booking Unit and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Bononno was released on $50,000.00 unsecured bond. Charges: Assault 2nd Degree
Collins collared for Crack Cocaine; Deputy Tipped by Furtive Behavior of Cohorts
SALISBURY, MD. — Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis reports that on March 26, 2015 at 10:35 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle operated by Ronnie Collins for an equipment violation. During the encounter, the deputy discovered that Collins’ driver’s license had been suspended. Due to the furtive behavior of Collins’ passengers, a WCSO Drug K9 team was called to the scene to conduct a scan for the presence of the odor of illegal drugs. Following a positive alert and subsequent search, the deputy located what was identified as crack cocaine.
The deputy arrested Collins and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the District Court Commissioner released Collins on Personal Recognizance.
