<h3>I-264 Crash: motorist charged with reckless driving</h3>
<p>VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. &#8212; Virginia State Police have charged a Virginia Beach woman with reckless driving in a wreck that took place on March 4, 2015.<br />
“To avoid any confusion on the accident that occurred on Interstate 264 eastbound, east of Lynnhaven Parkway, the accident involved two vehicles, and one occupant was injured with non life threatening injuries,” said Sgt. Michelle Anaya of the Virginia State Police.<br />
A 1987 Volvo, driven by Connie Cole, of Virginia Beach, was traveling eastbound I-264 when she lost control and ran off the road right, striking a parked 2011 Chevy pickup truck on the right shoulder. The parked Chevy truck was not occupied and owned by Atlantic Underground Inc.. Ms. Cole was taken from the scene with minor injuries and charged with reckless driving and no seatbelt.</p>
<h3> Paul David Thomas Charged in Road Rage Shooting</h3>
<p>MANASSAS, VA. &#8212; An investigation by Manassas City Police following the February 24th shooting at the intersection of Stonewall Rd and McKenzie Cir have resulted in the identification of Paul David THOMAS, 18, of 8522 Piney Point Cir, as the primary suspect in the case. At approximately 8:35PM on February 25, 2015, THOMAS was taken into custody without incident on a traffic stop in the area of Liberia Ave and Stonewall Rd., and charged with aggravated assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm in public. THOMAS was held without bond and has a pending court date of March 19, 2015. The victim, an adult male of Manassas Park, sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the initial incident.</p>
<p>Police say that at approximately 9:53PM on February 24, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the intersection of McKenzie Cir and Stonewall Rd for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who had been shot outside by an unknown suspect(s) moments prior. The suspect(s) is believed to have been inside a vehicle at the time of the shooting. The victim, an adult male, was transported for medical treatment and is currently in critical condition. This is an ongoing investigation. Manassas City Police encourages residents to assist in any way possible as Officers and Detectives canvass their way through the area tonight to gather information. Based on an initial investigation, there appears to be no threat to the general public&#8217;s safety at this time.<br />

<p>WOODBRIDGE, VA. – On March 3rd at 1:28PM, officers responded to the 12700 block of Darby Brooke Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an indecent exposure. The caller reported to police that an unknown man was sitting on a sidewalk, outside of a hair salon, exposing himself to employees through a window. The caller contacted police and the man fled the area prior to police arriving at the business. Witnesses were able to provide officers with a description of the vehicle that the suspect was last seen driving. Officers located and stopped a vehicle matching the description in the area of Minnieville Rd and Summit School Rd. Through the investigation, officers positively identified the driver as the accused and further determined that he was the man involved in the incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Arrested on March 3rd: Paul Arthur COCCA, 64, of 13504 Highland Farms Ct in Nokesville. Charged with indecent exposure. <h3>Police display wrecked cruisers of move-over violators</h3>

On display were two VSP cruisers which were struck in separate crashes last week. Two troopers involved in area wrecks were also on hand to speak about their experience. The vehicles and the troopers account of what happened in their respective crashes were truly eye-opening. We hope this message reaches all drivers and stresses the need for everyone behind the wheel of a vehicle to pay attention when on area roadways especially when emergency and public services vehicles are stopped with their lights flashing. <h3>Multiple Arrests Made in MS-13 Gang Investigation</h3>
<p>MANASSAS, VA. &#8212; Prince William County Police report that on February 25, 2015, Manassas City Investigators, in conjunction with the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force, City of Manassas Park Police, Virginia State Police, Fairfax County Police, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, charged multiple suspects for their alleged involvement in a case regarding gang recruitment by the street gang known as Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13).<br />
The execution of two search warrants in Reston, VA and on a suspect vehicle yielded evidence that led investigators to arrest four suspects in the case and serve a total of 43 warrants in all, with additional charges pending. The arrests concluded a nearly three-month-long investigation into an incident involving the assault of a fifteen-year-old female of Manassas, VA by members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) street gang during a gang initiation ritual on November 14, 2014.<br />
The incident, which illustrated the typical movement of the gang&#8217;s activity throughout the region and prompted the collaboration of multiple agencies, was initially reported to Manassas City Police in early December, 2014. The suspects were held without bond in Fairfax County, where they await prosecution.<br />

<p>DUMFRIES, VA. – On March 1st at 8:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16300 block of Taconic Cir in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 47 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused strangled the victim to point that she almost lost consciousness. The victim was able to free herself from the accused and contact police. The accused fled the home prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused.<br />

<h3>Dirtbag Flashes Inside Thrift Shop</h3>
<p>WOODBRIDGE, VA. – On March 1st at 5:18PM, officers responded to the Village Thrift Store located at 13700 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that while she was shopping inside the store she encountered an unknown man in the women’s department. During the encounter, the man exposed himself to the victim. When the victim informed the store’s manager of the incident, the man left the store. Officers checked the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located.<br />

<p><strong>Residential Burglary</strong> – On February 27th at 11:13AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15800 block of Bobolink Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 7:00PM on February 26th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Multiple boxes containing clothing items, a laptop, gaming console and miscellaneous property were reported missing from an attached garage. No entry was made into the main residence.</p>
<p><strong>Residential Burglary</strong> – On March 1st at 2:15PM, officers responded to a condominium located in the 3300 block of Yost Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on January 24th and 12:00PM on February 27th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Miscellaneous home goods were reported missing.</p>
<h3>BARNEY FIFE LIVES! &#8211; Gun stolen out of unlocked police car</h3>
<p>WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Okay, Joe Friday, you didn’t take your gun with you inside while you left it in your police car outside. You say it was locked but the officers taking the report for your stolen gun and gear report that there were no signs of forced entry. Therefore, either a criminal has the keys to your police car OR you left your cruiser unlocked OR you are just a liar OR an idiot.<br />
Prince William County police report that on February 27th at 3:23PM, officers responded to the 10800 block of Gambrel Dr. in Manassas to investigate a stolen firearm. The caller, a <strong></strong><strong>Prince William County police officer</strong>, reported that between 11:00PM on February 25th and 2:11PM on February 27th, someone made entry into his department vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly locked during this timeframe and there were no signs of forced entry. The officer’s department issued firearm, magazines and holster were reported missing.</p>

The victim, a 35 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, strangled her. The victim was able to free herself from the accused and contact police. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the arrest was accused. Arrested on February 26th: Kevin L. <p>WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Police report that on February 27th at 7:35PM, officers responded to the 10900 block of Coverstone Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 64 year old woman of Manassas Park, reported to police that she made arrangements to meet with the accused, a known acquaintance, in the area above to sell jewelry. One in the area, the accused sprayed a chemical in the victim’s face before striking her with the chemical’s canister. The accused then took a bag containing the jewelry and fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused who was later located at an address on Coverstone Dr. and arrested without further incident.<br />

<h3>Boozing Hobo Gains a Home in Slammer after Bopping Cop</h3>
<p>WOODBRIDGE, VA. – One local hobo who was causing a ruckus while drunk decided to bust up the backseat and door of a police car once he was arrested. Then he reportedly assaulted an officer. Police say that on March 1, 2015 at 3:25PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge for a report of an intoxicated person. Officers arrived in the area and located the individual who was identified as the accused. During the encounter, officers determined the accused was under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest. Once in the backseat of a police cruiser, the accused began kicking the door. When one of the officers attempted to calm the accused down, he kicked the officer in the leg. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation the accused was arrested. <p>MANASSAS, VA. – Police report that in January of 2015, Prince William County detectives began an investigation into an alleged bestiality complaint involving the accused who resides in the 11200 block of Chatterley Ln. in Manassas. The investigation revealed that between April of 2013 and December of 2014, the accused conspired with an adult woman through in-person and online conversations to perform sexual acts on a male dog, identified as a Lab mix belonging to the accused.<br />
During those encounters, the accused arranged a meeting in another jurisdiction where these acts were committed and recorded. After the acts were completed, the accused used a computer at his residence to download the material which was then distributed over the internet. Through the investigation, detectives identified a second woman as also having knowledge of the acts committed. The accused was originally arrested on January 29th in connection to this active investigation.<br />
At that time, the accused attempted sexual contact with a female dog, identified as a Husky/Lab mix, also owned by the accused. Around the same time, the accused also filmed other acts with animals committed in other jurisdictions and distributed them over the internet from a computer at his home. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the home at that time. As a result of the search, evidence and both dogs were located in the residence. The dogs were seized and examined by a veterinarian. Both currently remain in police custody at the animal shelter. As the investigation continued, additional charges relating to the conspiracy were later obtained on February 18th. This investigation remains active and is continuing. Arrested on January 29th &; February 18th: Joseph Michael AMLEY, 22, of 11280 Chatterly Lp, #104, in Manassas. Charged on January 29th with attempted crimes against nature-cruelty to animals, use of a computer to distribute obscene materials and distribution of obscene materials.
