DAMERON, MD. –  Maryland State Police report that on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1:57 am, TFC W. Couter responded to the 18000 block of St. Jerome’s Neck Road for a reported assault.  Investigation revealed Mandy L. Dean, 34, of Dameron, had assaulted a male victim.  Ms. Dean was placed under arrest for Assault Second Degree and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.  She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

CALIFORNIA, MD. – Police say that a fellow from the land of the flask, the fiddle and the dark roasted possum apparently didn’t leave his flask at home when he went shopping.

On Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 3:15 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler responded to the Walmart in California for a reported disorderly intoxicated subject.  Investigation revealed that Jason A. Siebert, 36, of Dameron, was extremely intoxicated and escorted out of the store by the complainant.  While attempting to speak with Tpr. Oyler, Mr. Siebert fell, striking his head.  Mr. Siebert was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medstar Hospital.  At the hospital, Mr. Siebert attempted to strike an employee and struck Tpr. Oyler.  He continued to be disorderly and actively resisted arrest, requiring Mr. Siebert to be tazed.  Mr. Siebert was evaluated, released, and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.  He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey a Lawful Order, Disturbing the Peace, Second Degree Assault, Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage in Public, and Public Intoxication.  Mr. Siebert was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

A Kinder Gentler Kind of Drug & DUI Arrest: impaired mama had kid in back seat

GREAT MILLS, MD. — On Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7:33 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler initiated a traffic stop on a gold passenger car on Route 237 at Horse Head Road for a minor traffic infraction.  Upon making contact with the driver, Amanda L. Kinder, 30, of Great Mills, Tpr. Oyler observed that she appeared to be under the influence.  Tpr. Oyler also observed a juvenile, 9 months, in the backseat.  Ms. Kinder performed Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Impaired by Drugs or Alcohol.  A search incident to arrest produced suspected CDS, and Ms. Kinder admitted to having taken Suboxone and Xanax prior to driving.  She was transported to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack for processing, and then transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.  She was charged with Possession of CDS Not Marijuana, Driving Under the Influence of CDS, Driving While Impaired by CDS, and Negligent Driving.  She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

Theft – On Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:38 am, TFC S. Ditoto responded to the Walmart in California for a reported theft.  Gina P. Kennedy, 26, of Tall Timbers was arrested and charged with Theft Under $1000.  She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

Drug Arrest – On Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:20 pm, Tpr. E. Krenik initiated a traffic stop on a green van on Route 246 at Australia Drive for a minor traffic infraction.  A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, resulting in the recovery of CDS.  Harold A. Duke, 32, of Great Mills, was arrested and charged with CDS Possession – Not Marijuana.  He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
