New Laws, New Taxes, New Governor

As elections approach this fall, voters need to be reminded that new taxes are taking hold as well and the very clowns in the Maryland General Assembly that voted for those tax hikes are now clamoring for your vote.

Larry Hogan was the only candidate endorsed by THE CHESAPEAKE TODAY in the 2014 General Election. Our readers were advised to toss out any legislators who voted to raise taxes.

The far-left liberals of Maryland and the Obama/O’Malley wing of the Democratic Party have been pursuing policies that will propel utility bill hikes for the average family like has never before taken place.

The push to bankrupt the coal industry, throw thousands of workers out of jobs, shut down clean nuclear power plants, restrict the export of clean natural gas at Cove Point on the Chesapeake and to regulate power companies into extinction can only lead to one thing: typical electric bills for families to triple.

For the family paying a $400 monthly electric bill this summer, plan on the bill soaring to at least $1200, perhaps even before the inept and arrogant Obama leaves the White House in two years. He will add to his legacy of incompetence the achievement of having added yet another mortal blow to the average middle-income family.

The ultra-rich and wealthy environmentalists who support the EPA in shutting down coal, restricting nuclear energy and hamstringing natural gas, stopping the Keystone Pipeline or drilling for oil have an agenda of aiding America’s enemies and preventing America from having energy independence.

What is in your wallet? Enough to pay for the looming triple-size electric bills that will soon be here?

Take a look at the voting record of your legislators and if they have raised your taxes, boot them out of office this fall.

Anthony Brown helped Martin O’Malley raise your taxes forty times. Start with him and vote for Larry Hogan.
