
Linthicum, Md. Anne Arundel County Police are on the lookout for a subject seeking medical treatment for burns which likely took place as the bozo stole copper from a power substation in Linthicum.
Police report that on August 3, 2014, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the Baltimore, Gas and Electric (BGE) substation located in the 700 block of Cabin Branch Lane, Linthicum in reference to a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers met with a representative from BGE, who advised that he responded to the substation for a power outage that occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. Upon inspection, he discovered a theft of copper wiring. A further inspection revealed the theft occurred from two high-side air break structures.
Area hospitals are being asked to be on the lookout for anyone seeking medical attention for extensive burn injuries caused by extreme heat and/or electricity. Anyone who was in the area of the 600 block of Camp Meade Rd South and may have witnessed a suspicious vehicle or activity or has information in connection with this burglary is urged to call the department’s metal theft unit at 410-222-6003 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
