Robbery – Glen Burnie

07/15/2014 — According to Anne Arundel County Maryland Police, on July 12, 2014 at 5:00 AM, officers responded to a holdup alarm at the Days Inn, 6600 Ritchie Hwy South.  Upon arrival, the clerk advised that a guest had attempted to pay for continued rent on a room with a counterfeit bill.  When the clerk refused to return the bill to the guest/suspect, he jumped over the counter and assaulted the clerk.  The suspect took the clerk’s cell phone and money from the register.

Officers located the suspect in the room.  Further investigation resulted in the recovery of the phone and currency in the suspect’s room.  The suspect was arrested and charged with robbery, theft and second degree assault.
