Following an investigation by the Maryland Health Care into the Holland Manor Assisted Living Facility on Landrake Road in Towson, the long-time owner and operator surrendered her license to practice medicine on Jan. 9, 2018, as the regulators and Attorney General were closing in on her house of horrors.
A caregiver has been charged with murder following the autopsy of the woman for whom she was caring for and living with in a home located at 202 Morris Street in Fruitland, Md. The results of the autopsy was that the death was a homicide due to injuries. Ironically, the woman charged with the murder attempted to charge the woman’s son with harassment and being a peeping tom. Those charges were dropped.
During the course of the investigation, the staff member in question arrived at work. Through interviews, it was learned that he sexually touched the victim. The suspect, who is a supervisor and work coach at the facility, was arrested and transported to Western District Police Station. The staff member, identified as Gregory Chambers, was charged with Vulnerable Adult Abuse, a Third Degree Sex Offense, a Fourth Degree Sex Offense and Second Degree Assault.
