Police say a dispute in the parking lot at the 7-11 on Garrisonville Road moved to the nearby Walmart parking lot where the stabbing occurred. The victim was transported to a local hospital and received stitches in his arm.

Wayne Byrd is also a person of interest in a bank robbery that took place in Spotsylvania County on the same day, September 30, 2014 at the PNC Bank at 5436 Jefferson Davis Highway. In that robbery the suspect entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a boating safety class in an effort to promote safe boating practices. The Boating Safety Class is being presented by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Center, 1125 Courthouse Road, Stafford 22554.
