Prince George’s County Sheriff Deputies Extradite Second Degree Murder Suspect ‬

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the extradition of Vinnie Taylor who had been arrested by the St. Louis Police Department on an arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder that was obtained by the Prince George’s County Police on December 10th, 2014.

The open murder investigation is that of Ana Isabel Racine, 21, of Pasadena who was killed just before midnight on Saturday January 25, 2014 in the 200 block of Meadow Rd. in Riviera Beach (Pasadena), MD.

The victim was identified as 37-year-old Nicole C. Burgess of 3317 Royale Glen Court in Davidsonville, Maryland. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore determined the cause of death as multiple stab wounds and the manner as homicide.

After a necropsy was performed on the deceased dog, a Pit-bull mix, it was determined that the dog died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

The investigation revealed Mr. Mason and Bashunn Phillips were known to each other. In October of 2013, an issue developed where Bashunn Phillips and Mr. Mason were involved in an altercation. As a result of the altercation, Bashunn Phillips was charged and was awaiting a court date. The murder of Mr. Mason occurred within weeks before the case was supposed to go to trial. After the murder, evidence was obtained in which Tymaine Phillips, Bashunn Phillips’ brother, attempted to secrete evidence from law enforcement authorities.
