Serial Killer? – Remains discovered on farm where previous murder victim was found may be that of Hannah Graham

At approximately noon Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, a search team located human remains on abandoned property in southern Albemarle County. Albemarle County Police, City of Charlottesville Police and Virginia State Police have spent the afternoon preserving the scene and processing evidence.

“At about 12 p.m. Saturday, a team of volunteers with the Chesterfield County, Va., Sheriff’s Office was searching an abandoned property along Old Lynchburg Road when they discovered the remains. The remains will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond for examination, autopsy and identification.

“Right now we have the discovery of human remains and a great deal of work ahead of us,” said Col. Steve Sellers, Albemarle County Police chief. “We cannot and will not jump to any conclusions regarding today’s discovery. I ask for the public’s patience as we move forward and pursue what is now a new, ongoing death investigation.”

Murder USA: Timothy Darnell Smith Jr. gunned down in Federalsburg

Investigators continue to interview area residents about what they may have seen or heard. The search continues for suspects who may have been involved in this shooting. Anyone who may have been driving in the area of Academy Street and Main Street between 7:30 p.m and 8:00 p.m., yesterday is urged to contact Maryland State Police homicide investigators at the Easton Barrack 410-822-3101 or the Federalsburg Police Department 410-754-8966.

Smith, of 6734 Bobtown Road in Hurlock, Md., was convicted after pleading guilty to conspiracy and assault on May 28, 2014 from charges stemming from an incident on Nov. 7, 2013. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with appearances in the slammer on weekends starting on May 30, 2014. He was also sentenced to a total of six months in jail with five months suspended and two years of unsupervised probation. Charges of trespass, reckless endangerment and assault were dropped by the Caroline County States Attorney in a plea deal.

Laurel, Md. (Aug. 26, 2014) — On Thursday, August 20th, 2014 at approximately 10:39 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Sudlersville South, Laurel, Maryland for a shooting. Upon arrival officers located a deceased male in the roadway suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. In interviewing several witnesses on scene, officers determined the suspect fled on foot to the 300 block of Old Line Avenue, Laurel, Maryland.

Members of the Atlanta Police Department now came rushing in, immediately stopped by the sight of former detective Marcus Theodore Rydell pacing like a trapped bull.

“Hiya, Denny Hodges isn’t it?” asked Marcus, a crooked smile for the first uniformed cop on the scene.

His partner, Janine Dobbins, all but dropped her teeth even as she asked, “What’re you doing here, Rydell? You involved in another . . . I mean—”

“Murder? Killing, you mean?” he replied, the quirky half smile lifting his laugh lines, the wrinkles around the eyes.

She pointed at the bloody victim with her nightstick. “If you say so.”

Murder at Dundalk: Witnesses saw him bag her and slab her!

Clyde C. Campbell, 53, of the 1700 block of Manor Road, 21222, was charged Wednesday evening and is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. (Campbell had been arrested Monday morning in Dundalk on weapons charges unrelated to the Grubb case and has been held at BCDC since then.)

Grubb was reported missing to BCoPD by her daughter Saturday evening; she was last seen Thursday evening. The daughter said she was concerned because of a history of domestic violence between her mother and Campbell

SALISBURY, MD. — The violent invasion of the home of Donald G. “Donnie” Mariner on April 16,, 2014 by one or more suspects ended with the death of Mariner and the brutal beating of another resident of the home. Now an arrest has been made in that murder.

The Maryland State Police have released sketchy details about the day of the murder but to date have yet to identify the other victim, fearing for that man’s safety.

From a recent case in Talbot County where rich kids having a drug party on imported narcotics rub out one of their buddies to the regular dispatch of competing drug dealers in Baltimore City, killers are always faced with the problem of disposal.
