MARYLAND STATE POLICE BEAT / One child dead in four-vehicle pileup on I-95

The driver of the Dodge was identified as Tamara Moskowitz, 45, Baltimore, MD was transported to Medstar in Washington, D.C. with life threating injuries. A 13-year-old male child was a passenger in the Dodge and was flown to Children’s Hospital by Maryland State Police Aviation where he succumbed to his injuries.

Body of Jake Zorn recovered in Susquehanna River

Rescue Boat 71 was in the water shortly after dispatch with the crew heading north in the Susquehanna River to start the search. Just north of the boat launch the crew noticed a light in the water and headed towards the object. The crew located a male subject holding onto a cooler and pulled him aboard. The patient advised he was in a canoe that had overturned with another male and that he had lost contact with him before our arrival.

Kitchen stove caught kid’s shirt on fire; burned over thirty percent of her body

The investigation revealed that the victim was standing near a kitchen stove that was being used at the time. Her shirt came into contact with the hot stove and ignited. The resulting fire caused second and third degree burns to 30% of her body and was concentrated on her back. There was no other fire damage to the home upon investigation.
