In December of last year, crew member Seechurm (a mini-bar attendant) used a master key while he was off-duty to enter a woman’s cabin and molested the woman while she was sleeping
Police say that Logan Bagby, 22, of Powhatan, Virginia, was the driver and only occupant of a Ford Ranger pickup which was traveling north on Walkers Ridge Road when it ran off the road left struck a parked 2010 Toyota Corolla, the vehicle continued on striking a tree at which point it caught fire and became fully engulfed and burning Bagby alive.
During the encounter, based on witness accounts, a struggle ensued between the officer and the male subject. The male subject was subsequently shot by the officer. The Portsmouth Police officer immediately requested rescue to respond to the scene. The male subject, William L. Chapman II, 18, of the 100 block of Gilmerton Avenue in Portsmouth, died at the scene.
The additional safety measures were identified as part of Metro’s collaborative review with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation team, but are not to be misconstrued as formal recommendations from the NTSB.
A resident of the home reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard the sound of glass breaking. When the caller went around to the rear of the home, he observed an unknown man walking away from the backyard. Upon checking the home, a rear sliding glass door was found shattered. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect
Employees reported to police that five unknown suspects, 3 males and 2 females, entered the store and attempted to steal beer. When confronted by employees, a struggle ensued. All suspects fled the store with the beer prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported
Officers approached the vessel at about 1:30 p.m. to check for fishing activity and smelled a strong odor of burned marijuana and alcohol. Maginnis was charged after taking a field sobriety test.
An 18-year-old female from Middletown, Del., who was a front seat passenger in the vehicle, and who was not properly restrained at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle. She was removed from the scene by Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper 4) and transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center where she was treated and admitted with serious injuries
