The Dover Police Department responded to 16 shoplifting calls between Noon on September 3rd and Noon on September 10th. Of those 16 shoplifting complaints, six are still under investigation, two were unfounded, and 9 arrests/warrants obtained were made in 8 cases. One juvenile and 8 adult arrests were made.
The training for those operating fire trucks includes driving safely so as not either to wreck the unit on the way to the scene of a call or to drive over the persons on a scene.
Documents show Ellis’ blood alcohol level was a .09 at a hospital two hours after the crash. Later, using a state police kit, it was a .07. For adults, the legal limit of intoxication is .08.

While placing Wathen into custody he pulled away and attempted to get back inside the house. Wathen was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Failure to comply with an Order of Court and Resisting Arrest.
