Murder USA: The face of a cold-blooded killer; police say motive was robbery for Robin Smith Jr. in murder of Rajinder Kumar

Suspect: Robin Tyrone Smith Jr. 26 of 422 Pamela Rd. Glen Burnie, MD

Since January 1, 2013, the Anne Arundel County Police Department has investigated 20 murders, 19 of which have been closed. The open murder investigation is that of Ana Isabel Racine, 21, of Pasadena who was killed just before midnight on Saturday January 25, 2014 in the 200 block of Meadow Rd. in Riviera Beach (Pasadena), MD.

“I am grateful for the partnerships with the FBI and our community that played vital roles in solving this murder,” said Anne Arundel County Chief of Police Kevin Davis. “This cold-blooded, heartless killer had the audacity to roam freely while our community grieved. He committed this cowardly act and never thought twice about turning himself in. Today, he’s
in jail.”

Convicted felon Daniel P. Welch indicted for illegally buying guns

Specifically, the indictment alleges that on January 29, 2011, Welch and Sutton visited four ATMs in Stevensville, Maryland, near a federally licensed firearms dealer, and Welch withdrew approximately $1,700 in cash. Welch and Sutton then went to the firearms dealer and selected firearms for Sutton to purchase for Welch. Sutton purchased a Smith & Wesson MP5-22, a Mossberg Persuada 500, and a Century Arms SKS. Sutton completed Form 4473 indicating the he was the actual buyer of the firearms and was not acquiring the firearms for another person. On February 1, 2011, Sutton picked up the guns, which he then transferred to Welch. According to the indictment, on February 11, 2011, Sutton purchased a Marlin rifle from the firearms dealer, again completing the Form 4473 and falsely indicting that he was buying the gun for himself. In 2012, Sutton acquired a Remington Arms 597 and a Ruger Single Six, both .22 caliber, through private purchases. The indictment alleges those guns were subsequently possessed by Welch.

Delaware Police Say Body of Man Found on Bear Trail Now Identified as Brenton A. Mauk

The victim has been positively identified as a 19 year old male from Bear, Delaware. Preliminary investigation and examination of physical evidence at the scene by Troopers has determined that there does not appear to be suspicious circumstances, and foul play is not suspected surrounding his death. The Division of Forensic Science will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Unit members then responded back to the residence on Deborah Drive where Jacqueline Hughes, 40 of Dover, was contacted and a consent to search of the room her and her boyfriend, Kyiar Haith, rented. During the search, troopers located 9 bags of heroin totaling .135 grams, and other drug paraphernalia including an empty bag stamped “Out of Stock.”

On October 20, 2014, at about 8:45 pm, the suspect assaulted a female victim in the 5800 block of Annapolis Road. The suspect is described as a black male, about 35 – 45 years old and approximately 5’9″- 6′ tall. He had a beard and wore a dark jacket

Unique plane parachute saved Scott Graeves & Gilbert Porter in mid-air crash in Frederick; 3 in chopper dead

(FREDERICK, MD) – Maryland State Police report that three people are dead following the mid-air crash of a small plane and a helicopter that occurred this afternoon in Frederick.

WJLA reporter Jay Korff reports that NTSB officials said that the unique parachute system saved the lives of the two men in the airplane.

The three deceased victims are identified as Christopher D. Parsons, 29, of Westminster, MD, William Jenkins, 47, of Morrison, Colorado, and Breandan J. MacFawn, 35, of Cumberland, MD. Investigators have determined all three men were on-board the helicopter. Who was piloting the helicopter has not been verified at this time.

The two persons in the airplane are identified as Scott V. Graeves, 55, of Brookeville, MD, and Gilbert L. Porter, 75, of Sandy Spring, MD. Both had been taken by ambulance to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD, but were released from the hospital this evening. Graeves was the pilot of the airplane and Porter was his passenger.

Dover Police report that a Dover man was arrested at 11:32 pm on Oct. 22, 2014 on drugs and weapon charges after fleeing from police in a vehicle.

Police say that Officers from the Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Kings Highway and Division Street, operated by Anthony Benson, 34, after learning that he had an active capias for his arrest

Joyce Marie Rulapaugh endangered kids by passing stopped school bus and then shoved deputy, say police

Joyce Marie Rulapaugh endangered kids – St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on October 9, 2014, Deputy Bowen responded to a residence located on Catalina Lane in California, after several witnesses reported a vehicle passing a stopped school bus with red lights flashing.

Deputy Bowen made contact with suspect Joyce Marie Rulapaugh, 50, of California, who matched the description provided by witnesses. Rulapaugh refused to provide Deputy Bowen with her driver’s license and registration information so he may issue her a traffic citation. Eventually, Rulapaugh retrieved her driver’s license only to hold it up in the air refusing to allow Deputy Bowen to see it.
