DUNKIRK, MD. — Maryland State Police in Prince Frederick report yet another case of heroin spreading like wildfire through the hinterlands of Maryland. On 4/27/15 at 6:26 pm, Trooper Jones responded to the Town Center Shopping Center in Dunkirk for a call from a citizen observing subjects using CDS. After speaking with the concerned citizen, Tpr. Jones made contact with the subjects when they returned to their vehicle. Syringes and other paraphernalia were observed inside the vehicle when they opened the vehicle doors. Stacy L. Brown, 22 of Lusby, and Brian L. Moore, 25 of St. Leonard, were both found to be in possession of heroin. They were arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
Members of the Maryland State Police S.T.A.T.E team responded to make entry into the residence. After forcing entry into the residence, police located Elliott Cheston in the upstairs bedroom with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Mrs. Cheston was found nearby with apparent gunshot wound.
“Just a few days ago, the people of Baltimore City, Maryland, and the entire nation watched as Baltimore was consumed by violence and tragedy. Homes and businesses were devastated and police officers were openly attacked by the few who chose aggression over peaceful demonstration. Tonight, I once again strongly urge all citizens of Baltimore, and those from outside our city and state, to remain peaceful, and nonviolent. As we prepare to start a new week, I ask that all Maryland citizens join me in a day of prayer and unity for Baltimore City and the State of Maryland.
One woman tweeted, “As Baltimore’s poorest kids are left hungry due to school closure (no school lunch), @WholeFoods feed the oppressor.”
Others pointed to a Five Guys restaurant that was also passing out free burgers to National Guard members.
BALTIMORE CITY (May 1, 2015) – Deputy State Fire Marshals have charged Greg Bailey (22) after determining he was the suspect responsible for intentionally damaging a charged water supply fire hose during active fire suppression operations at the CVS store location at 2509 Pennsylvania Avenue on Monday, April 27, 2015.
“This is America. I wanted to follow my dream and wanted to make something for myself,” Kang told the Associated Press. He added that it was only his first year of owning the business and was unsure of reopening the store, as it could mean taking on more debt and paying higher insurance premiums.
“I’m disgusted by that,” says Natalie Finegar, the deputy district public defender for Baltimore City. “I think that’s cruel and unusual punishment if you ask. You’ve had people in Central Booking for two days without the opportunity to have contact with their families, post bail, or even know why they are there.”
TRAVIS FONSECA: It’s almost like payback, I guess you could say.
AIZENMAN: Travis Fonseca is a tall, muscular 24-year-old hanging out on the corner. He says the looters were justified.
FONSECA: You know what I mean? For all of the unspoken things that has happened between those businesses and our people, I feel like it was payback. I don’t feel like it was the most reasonable thing to do, but it’s definitely justified.
