Arriving units found a head on style collision between a tractor trailer and a sedan with one occupant trapped in the sedan. The trapped occupant, a 45 year old female, was extricated in less than 20 minutes
The shooting occurred after the suspect had discharged his weapon several times from his 2007 Dodge Charger, which had traveled off the driveway of the home and stopped in a yard. During the investigation, Detectives from the Forensic Services Unit recovered a loaded 38 revolver from the scene.
The cause of the crash is driver error. Excessive speed was not a factor in the collision; however, alcohol use appears to be contributory. The Traffic Safety section is handling the investigation.
Police say a dispute in the parking lot at the 7-11 on Garrisonville Road moved to the nearby Walmart parking lot where the stabbing occurred. The victim was transported to a local hospital and received stitches in his arm.
