Bodkin Creek Crab Bandits John Allen Schuman and Leslie Eugene Jenne III: Schuman only served 3 of 30 days and NO FINE!

Schuman was charged with removing crabs from a pot of another, theft, recreational crabbing after hours, failing to have a recreational license, failing to have a registration in his possession, recreational possession of a female crab and operating without proper running lights.

Jenne was charged with theft and recreational crabbing after hours.

Charges loom against Takoma Park Police Officer Travis Ala in death of Raymond Badders on Rt. 50; two more died from injuries

According to the preliminary investigation, Ala was eastbound on Rt. 50 in lane three and apparently did not observe the stopped traffic in time to stop. Evidence indicates Ala swerved to the right and struck the rear of the Toyota. The force of the crash caused the Nissan to overturn and pushed the Toyota into the Jeep Cherokee that was ahead of it.

In 2011, although Grillo’s company had not performed any work on the contract, Grillo caused his company to submit an invoice to WSSC for 28% of the Hampshire Green contract, or $57,504.88, to conceal the fact that Company 1 had not met its contractual obligation to subcontract 28% to an MBE. Again, to make it appear that Grillo’s company had performed the work, Company 1 issued a check for $57,504.88 to Grillo’s company, and a short time later, Grillo’s company issued a check back to Company 1 for $58,291.81.
