NEWPORT NEWS, VA— 07/29/2014—Salvatore Lopiccolo, age 35 of Newport News, Virginia, was sentenced today to 57 months in prison and three years of supervised release for his participation in a drug conspiracy.

Dana J. Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, made the announcement after sentencing by U.S. District Judge Arenda Wright Allen.

Lopiccolo was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 14, 2013, and on April 21, 2014, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute analogues, cocaine, cocaine base, methylone, marijuana, psilocybin and drug paraphernalia.

Easton, Md. – According to Talbot County Sheriff’s Lt. John Bollinger, on July 14, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Black Dog Alley near Dover Road for suspicion of drug activity.

An investigation had begun several weeks earlier directed at Christopher Lee Baker, 28, of 9658 Cordova Road, Easton, Md., who was believed to be transporting heroin into Talbot County from Delaware.

(BEL AIR, MD) – Maryland State Police are searching for a police tactical vest and related equipment stolen over the weekend in Harford County when the window of a police vehicle was smashed and the items removed.

The theft is believed to have occurred sometime in the early morning hours of July 25, 2014, in the driveway of a Maryland state trooper’s residence in the Bel Air area of Harford County. The rear window of an unmarked Ford Excursion was smashed. An unknown suspect or suspects removed a green ballistic vest on which was labeled “Trooper” and “STATE Team,” and which contained several police tactical equipment including ammunition, a pry bar and a knife. “STATE Team” designates the Maryland State Police Special Tactical Assault Team Element, or SWAT team.

Missing woman’s boyfriend arrested by Baltimore Police

The boyfriend of a North Point woman reported missing Saturday was arrested on Merritt Boulevard this morning on an open warrant for a weapons violation. The woman, Dorothy Iris Grubb, 60, of the 1700 block of Manor Road, 21222, remains missing.

Clyde Campbell, 53, also of the Manor Road address, is in police custody and has not yet appeared before a court commissioner on the weapons violation, which is unrelated to the missing persons case. Police want to talk to Campbell to see if he has information that may help them find Dorothy Grubb.

A 43-year-old man who was riding a wave on a boogie board struck his head on the sand and later complained of neck and hand pain around 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Cullen Street. One witness said he was found face down in the surf but EMS personnel said he never lost consciousness. On 7/27/14 at 1:44 am, Master Trooper Gill responded to the 200 block of Lore Rd. in Solomon’s for an intoxicated subject that was threatening people. Joshua R. Albert, 34, of Spotsylvania, VA, was located. A check through NCIC revealed Albert had an active felony warrant through Stafford County and Spotsylvania County in Virginia. Albert was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Bear, Del.-Delaware State Troopers have arrested an 18 year old Newark man and 23 year old Newark woman in connection with a shooting that occurred yesterday morning in a Pulaski Highway shopping center parking lot, which has left a 23 year old male in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation has determined that the incident occurred on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at approximately 10:07 a.m. as a 23 year old male was meeting with Brandon Burns, 18, of Newark, Delaware and Rebecca L. Evans, 23, of Newark, Delaware in order to sell them heroin in the parking lot of the Sunset Station shopping center, located in the 1800 block of Pulaski Highway, Bear. The three were occupying a silver Oldsmobile Intrigue, with the 23 year old male positioned in the rear passenger seat.

Georgetown, DE- The Delaware State Police is asking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a man and a woman that scammed a female out of money for a car and possibly fled the state.

The incident took place on Tuesday July 22, 2014 when Heather Turner, 31 of Lincoln, contacted a 25 year old female victim via phone about purchasing an Acura Integra she knew was for sale. Turner and her male accomplice, Ryan L. Neyhart, 29 of Georgetown, picked the victim up from her residence and drove her to the 18000 block of Redden Road, Georgetown, where the car was located, and a $1,500.00 cash exchange took place. Neyhart entered the residence and then returned shortly thereafter making statements that they would need to get a tag and title work completed before she could drive it away. He and Turner then drove the victim to Fitzgerald’s Salvage near Lincoln where they dropped her off and informed her someone would be coming to her with the keys and title. After a period of time, no one showed up.

RISING SUN, MD. July 25, 2014 — A Delaware man was charged by the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division after being accused of dressing up as a woman and holding up a bank branch here Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

Kent Hunt Buckson, 34, of the 600 block of Lochaven Court in the Bear community near Newark, was charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft: $10,000 under $100,000, first-degree assault and second-degree assault late Thursday. He is accused of robbing the National Penn Bank branch robbery at 5 Maple Heights Lane in Rising Sun the day before. Buckson was taken into custody without incident by detectives from the Delaware State Police – Troop 2 shortly after 9 a.m. at the Rodeway Inn on South College Avenue in Newark, DE.
