Southern Md. Police Beat: St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports on DUI arrests for April 1st, 2015; cabs cheap, lawyers pricey!
The suspect provided the teller with a note demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash then fled on foot toward McDonald’s parking lot and got into a purple or maroon colored older model vehicle and then fled the area. Anyone with information as to the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Dwight Young or Detective John Horsman of the Milford Police Department at 302-422-8081.
The suspect is identified as Jimmie Junior Rogers II, 27, of 8409 Terry Lee Way, Severn, Maryland. Rogers was charged with Human Trafficking of a minor and related prostitution charges. Rogers was taken to the Anne Arundel County District Court where he is awaiting an appearance.
When they arrived, emergency medical technicians from the Wiley Ford Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene. The State Police flight paramedics were able to immediately begin advanced life support care for the child. They could tell he was seriously ill and time was of the essence, so the flight paramedics transported the child to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, less than ten minutes away, while continuing to provide advanced life support care.
Murder USA: Another day, another murder in Pretty Gory County – Police say that on April 1, 2015, at about 10:30 pm, officers with the Seat Pleasant Police Department responded to the 400 block of Eastern Avenue for the report of a shooting. Once they arrived, they found Ivy in a parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The suspect is identified as Kerry J. Hampton, 29, of Fayetteville, NC. Hampton is charged with importation of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession of heroin. Following his initial appearance before a court commissioner, he was held in the Cecil County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.
