<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">CHARLOTTE HALL, MD. Does this guy look like a pill head? St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on January 10, 2018, DFC. D. Smith responded to a gas station at the corner of Golden Beach Road and Rt. 5 in Charlotte Hall, regarding a welfare check of a driver who had fallen asleep at the fuel pumps. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Police say that DFC. Smith observed a knife and pill container in the driver&#8217;s lap. The driver of the vehicle was later determined to be Derrick Aubin Burch, 29, of 14322 Burnt Store Road, Hughesville, Md.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> Further investigation also revealed numerous pills inside the vehicle. Burch was arrested for CDS: Possession Not Marijuana. He was immediately released from jail to resume his nap and perhaps dreaming of how to find more pills. A court date of Feb. 27, 2018, has been set and he has filed to let the taxpayer provide him with a free attorney to go to court, where the Judge may assign him to go for free drug treatment at Walden which is supported by tax dollars.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A peace order connected to a case of domestic violence was issued by a District Court Judge in Prince Georges County on Sept. 11, 2017. The case was dismissed for lack of service, according to court records.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Burch entered a guilty plea to drug dealing in Charles County Circuit Court on April 27, 2015, along with a guilty plea to DWI and got one year and one day in jail.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In the plea deal with Charles County States Attorney Anthony Covington on another DWI charge on Oct. 14, 2011, Burch was sentenced to ten days in jail with all of the jail time suspended.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Charged by Charles County Sheriff Officer Garner with identity theft, fraud, and theft in Charles County, Md., on March 2, 2015, Burch got a plea deal with the Charles County States Attorney Anthony Covington. THE DEAL: In return for a guilty plea to theft on Nov. 6, 2015, Burch was sentenced to 6 months in jail with all 6 months suspended and a fine of $100. Other instances of peace orders sought in Domestic Violence cases in Charles County District Court and issued took place in 2013.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Cameron reports that on January 10, 2018, Cpl. O&#8217;Connor was transporting Mysean James Fox, 29, of 2084 Addison Road South Apt. 1, District Heights, Md., to the St. Mary&#8217;s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, on a Prince George&#8217;s County Warrant for CDS- Possession with Intent to Distribute.</span></p>
