MURDER USA Richard Woltz held in stabbing death of Marlene Woltz
Possible murder and suicide attempt as cops rule out any other suspects
Richard Wayne Woltz, 73, of the 1700 block of Five Forks Road has been charged with the murder of his wife, Marlene Tooke Woltz.
Woltz is currently in the custody of the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office.
On January 8th, 2018 at 8:29 am, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications received a call requesting medical assistance in the 1700 block of Five Forks Road.
Virginia Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and located an adult male who was suffering a life-threatening injury. That individual was transported to a local hospital by EMS.
Firefighters requested police assistance when they located Marlene Woltz stabbed to death in the home.
Police say that they are not are not seeking any suspects related to this incident, however, it is still an active, ongoing investigation.
Marlene Woltz had been an official and organizer of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Annual Neptune Festival for decades.
