<h2>MURDER USA PG Detectives Fatal Shooting of Convicted Armed Robber Jerelle Burnett</h2>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">FORESTVILLE, MD. &#8212; Just when officials were hoping that the only loud noises heard through the killing fields of PG County would be those from the explosions of fireworks and firecrackers along with the sizzling of sparklers, gunfire broke out along Pennsylvania Ave.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Forestville at 9:44 pm on June 28, 2017.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Police report that the victim is 25-year-old Jerelle Elliott Burnett of Curtis Drive in Temple Hills. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">On June 28th, at about 8:05 pm, patrol officers responded to the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Burnett who had been living at 125 Bridge Street in N. Caslonia Fuquay, N. C., was charged in Prince Georges District Court on April 27, 2017, for second-degree assault. The trial had been set for Aug. 7, 2017.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Burnett was found guilty of robbery on Aug. 7, 2015, in Prince Georges Circuit Court with 13 other counts of a Grand Jury Indictment dropped by PG County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks from an armed robbery that took place in 2014. THE DEAL: Sentenced to 15 years in prison, all of the prison time was dropped except for 18 months, with credit given for one day of time served and sentence to begin on Aug. 20, 2015. </span></p>
