MURDER USA Norfolk Police charged Ronald M. Best with homicide of Samantha Ganther
NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) Norfolk police have arrested Ronald Monique Best, 41, for the homicide which left a woman dead Sunday night.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, police, and paramedics responded to the 2700 block of Kimball Terrace for a possible gunshot victim.
When police arrived they discovered 49-year-old Samantha F. Ganther inside her home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police immediately took Best into custody without incident. Best, of the 1000 block of Greenwood Street in Norfolk, is charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and shooting into an occupied dwelling. He is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
A court date of June 20, 2017, is scheduled.
