MURDER USA Patrol officer found dead man lying on ground near Colebrooke Drive

TEMPLE HILLS, MD. – Prince George’s Police reports that detectives are investigating an early morning homicide discovered on Dec. 15, 2016, in Temple Hills.

Police say that the victim is 25-year-old Jamil Smith of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

When the officer went to check on him, it was discovered he was suffering from trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On December 15th, at about 2:10 am, a Prince George’s County Police officer on patrol saw the victim on the ground in the 2700 block of Colebrooke Drive. When the officer went to check on him, it was discovered he was suffering from trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
